I used to like this woman, before she became almost as big as Oprah. I loved her early books. Now I think she's just too full of herself - or something. I remember watching one Oprah show about manners, where Oprah said (somewhat awestruck) that if anyone addresses Maya Angelou as "Maya", she replies "It's Miss Angelou". How bloody rude is that?
I liked the video but then just read Expat Mum's comment. Ahh, just when you think you've found a nice cherry soul you find out she's high maintenance. LOL
Well Miss Angelou aside, Elton John said it too, "I'm still standing, better than I ever did, looking like a true survivor, feeling like a little kid..." Also words to live by. Sing ALL of those songs. :-))

I do still love this poem, superstar or no superstar. They are inspiring words. There's a song of it I really like, too; I should send it to you.
