The good news and the bad news

Take one look at the picture. It gives it all away. On Saturday I came down with an infection. It could be one of many things but I have spent the week so far either shaking with cold, fainting with heat, fast asleep or taking some tablet or another. It is now official I rattle when I walk. Mum as ever has been completely steadfast. Sitting with me, bringing me coffees from Costas ( my passion is going out for a coffee often with mum, so she has collecting one for us instead), trying to improve my increasingly grizzly mood. Other half has been insisting that I eat ( it is not a good sign when I don't fancy eating- I am such a bon viveur), bringing me a continuous supply of ribena ( which I crave) and generally calming me down.
I need to make progress. I need to get better for London next week. I get my decision a week on Thursday. Will they or won't they operate? I will find out on that Thursday. So it is tough at the moment- no point dressing it up.
But I am so blessed to have a lovely family to support me, and friends who shower me with cakes and flowers and cheery texts.
And the good news- my pride and joy passed his Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award, and continues to be my inspiration and strength.

Yes, you are blessed with a super family - and the Pride and Joy seems to be kicking life into touch - yay!
But we are alone with the worry of will they / won't they. Will I / won't I? I so hope they operate. Drink more Ribena! add Lucozade and you're away! ;)
Grizzling is acceptable - grizzle away - just get well soon Jo...

Congrats on teenager's Bronze DoE award! Nice to have something positive to focus on, as you take on the latest challenge.

Your mum's being a rock, as usual.

You're right that you're surrounded by family and friends to keep you going when perhaps your spirits flag.

Keep smiling kiddo, you'll get there!

Wonderful about the Duke of Edinburgh award.
I am sorry that you have been through the mill. Hope all goes well on Thursday and that the news is good.

(My CT scan result is out on Wednesday) Gruelling all this waiting, isn't it.

Hang on in there - I bet your "pride and joy" is pretty proud of his mum, but being a boy he can't possibly say so ! Look after yourself - there are a lot of us out here rooting for you. xx

I hope you feel better soon. Thank goodness you have your wonderful family around you. Not heard of Costas coffee - it is like Starbucks? That is great news about your son! What a great lad he is. Take care.

Oh, well done, Pride and Joy!! That is such an achievement. And as for you... keep on with the Ribena, although I am reading this a week later. And today is Thursday. So am going to get off the computer and get a prayer up that you hear good news today. Love. xxxx

What a wonderful son you have. His activities and his progress must be the best medicine available.
I'm very sad that you have an infection, on top of the rest of the "other issues" you are dealing with. I pray that you were able to get your decision and go forward with whatever is best for your health this week.
We are thinking of you and praying with you; God bless you, strengthen you, comfort you and bring you all you need, each moment.
