Ok-this is an unashamed 'Brit about to talk about the weather' post. I just need to have a rant and rave about how damned awful it is. It is lashing down with rain and we have a severe weather and flood warning for the North West of England. I really have had enough.
We have had wild winds, a couple of unbelievable hail storms, rain rain rain, dark skies, freezing cold.... and the occasional five minute burst of sunshine -enough to tempt poor walkers and shoppers outside just long enough before getting soaked to the skin by a sudden squall.
Enough.
Our wonderful Aussie exchange student is going home on Thursday. We are all very sad about it. We are all begging to come back with him. Apparently it is very hot in Oz. Sigh.
Special request to Busy Bee Suz. Please send us some sunshine over asap. Thanks

Oh, you poor dear. I wish I could bottle up a bunch and send it your way!! I am so spoiled, for I get tired of the hot, sunny days. Suppose I should shut my pie-hole and enjoy?
I hope your exchange student has a pleasant trip back home.
Suz
We've had nothing but sunshine here for the past week so I'll try hard to send it your way:-) It's very cold here, though, so no doubt we'll soon have lots of snow coming in. I know how depressing so much rain can be, especially if it lasts for so long. xoxo
you have occasional five minute bursts of sunshine?? we haven't...just GLOOM. bah - living to close to the Moors.
Do you think the exchange student could take us ALL with him? ;o)
Now I really love really, really bad weather...very exciting...it's the dull, grey days that are neither Arthur nor Martha that get me down.
Sorry to hear you're having biblical weather! It's not brilliant down here right now either (London way).
I'm sure your exchange student will go home filled with happy memories, and plenty to talk about weather-wise...
But Jo - you choose to live in THE wettest part of the country. I know it's beautiful but....
