The excitement is growing...

I am up in the middle of the night. I can't sleep a wink. I haven't felt as excited as this as when I was a small child at Christmas.

The excitement is bubbling up in me like bottle of champagne which has been shaken up- I am about to burst open and spill all over the place.

Tomorrow at about noon teenager will arrive back at Manchester airport. After ten weeks with a wonderful family in Melbourne, who have done such a brilliant job looking after him, he will be back to mum and dad ( and grandma too!).

I feel completely over-whelmed about seeing him again. I can't begin to describe it. I feel as if I have a put a ( very large) lid on all my emotions about him being away, and soon I can take the lid off again.

We have over-hauled his bedroom ( a la extreme makeover) and it looks lovely. Very grown up. I really hopes he likes it.

Thanks to Daryl, Cindy, Elana and Joshua for a wonderful opportunity. We are so excited about the reciprocal visit. It will be a real adventure. Roll on September.

In the meantime, pray for a peaceful and safe flight for teenager today. I will post tomorrow when I have got my baby back again.

I completely understand - my children are coming home from Spain today - I haven't seen them for 2 weeks and I feel so excited too - and we're only talking about 2 weeks not 10 and Spain not Australia - Hope you have a fantastic home coming!!!

Hi Jo. Very interesting reading as I've been catching up on your travels via your blog. Glad you enjoyed your visit to the US, and you're one up on me: I've never been as far West as California and Washington.

Hoping and praying for a safe trip home for your Teenager. I know you'll rest better when he's back under your roof again. :o)

If you ever find yourself in Arkansas, email me and we'll see what we can do about getting you here for some Southern home cookin'. ;o)

Happy weekend!

Hugs,

Diane

Hope you manage to greet your lad without becoming a hopeless blubbing wreck, my dear! I'm sure you will have talked each other hoarse in no time at all with all his adventures - and all yours too - in the time he's been away.
I'll be thinking of you and yours today!

Ah - go on you big softie. What are you going to be like when he goes off to college? Or are you going to give him a restricted list of places?
Hope you have a great time with him. He certainly looks like he was enjoying himself. A only went away for four days last week and it was VERY quiet without him.

Woo Hoo for you, Jo! and since we're behind you in time, he must be home already, safe and sound with his mum and dad. Celebrate!
