Blood sports

My poor boy has been in the wars again. After scaring me recently with a potential broken rib incident, he decided to dislocate his shoulder on Sunday. X rays, laughing gas and a sling later and we are back on course to normality.
Is he particularly accident prone? I hear you all cry. Is he clumsy? Is he just unlucky?
No
He plays rugby. Enough said.
It is a true blood sport.
I think you have to be a little mad to play it frankly.

Totally! I have a girlfriend who plays - she's had a black eye and an airlift out of the field in the last 4 weeks! But it's a great game :0)

I agree, you must be a bit mad to play. IT is just crazy, full out crazy. :)
I bet he loves it though!
Hope he mends quickly.

Im sure it won't be the last injury he gets playing rugby, but I am sure he won't always be the cause of some prematurely grey hairs... he will be the source of good things in years to come... xx

You do, but its a good, get-it-all-out-on-the-pitch kind of madness. Very healthy. Though I can definitely see how it wouldn't feel that way to a mum!

Oh dear, it's no wonder I always say kids are put on this earth to worry us mothers! lol I can see how he can get hurt so easily, though, playing rugby would do that to you. My son Corey broke his arm while arm wrestling, believe it or not! Completely snapped it in half in the forearm part, between the shoulder and elbow. A few months later he broke a tooth while playing road hockey...I told him to stop driving me crazy with worry! lol xoxo

See over here, I just threaten to make them pay the emergency room bills and it keeps them on the straight and narrow!
