It's a busy day for the three kings in our house today...
- Collecting turkey and pork from butchers ( around seven miles away)
- Get a new tyre for car ( yes- we had a flat ) -groan- why do these things always happen at Christmas
- Final wrapping ( me -for other half)
- Buying stuffings and vegetables, and lots of groceries which are missing from our cupboards.
- Interflora -to send some festive flowers.
- Delivering presents around the area- it's good to play Santa.
- Having pals round for fizz and nibbles- can we start now?
- Wine stocks for the festive season. I have got the white wine in already - lucky enough to find two bottles of Cloudy Bay. If you haven't had it, you are missing a real treat. We need red now...any suggestions
- better get going....

Brilliant photo - it looks like the 3 Kings have just walked in and are taking a look around!
If you like something smoothly red then you can do no better than a tempranillo variety, full of sunshine and goes with most things but I also like a nice Merlot, Shiraz and go quite a bit on the South African Cape wines
Food for thought, or actually for drink
I do like the three kings!
Pork! we used to have pork on Christmas Eve. I miss that tradition. Sounds like you have lots of fun things to do. Enjoy!
:-)
You are the busy bee today. :)
I am already cooking my meat sauce this morning for our Lasagna on Christmas eve.
FYI-my most favorite wine is the sauvaign blanc, my MOST favorite region for that wine is-Marlborough,New Zealand. Kim Crawford and Brancott my fave vineyards. I have not had the cloudy bay, but will look for it.
On red? I like a nice Pinot Noir. Any brand or region except Chile. Not sure why, but I don't care for the Chilean wines.....
good luck.
Happy Christmas! I reckon you can start now....;)
I love the picture of the three kings. Your teenager is a good photographer.
Sounds like you're ready for the festivities.
Speaking of having pals around for some nibbles and, well, in my case coffee, that's just what I did today.
Have a wonderful holiday. Merry Christmas!

Jacob's Creek Shiraz is really good, its an Australian wine. Their Chardonnay is also great.
Love the photo of the three kings.

Merry Christmas!

Yet again the ladies make me feel quite guilty regarding our general lack of involvement in Christmas preparations. Enjoy your Christmas, you've earnt it.
Your kings look like they have wandered in and are going to have a good rummage through the presis.
It sounds like you had a busy day on Monday, I hope you're taking it easy now.
I hope you and yours have a fabulous Christmas.
