Christmas at Kirkby Lonsdale

Sigh- rugby was cancelled- but we didn't find out til we got to the club at Kirkby Lonsdale. We weren't needed for coffee and bacon roll duty. So- we went to the village Xmas fair instead. It was very atmospheric and KL is a lovely place.

I liked this picture of Santa in shop window- drinking sherry. Isn't he great?

This is a lovely shot- just next to a shop called ChurchMouse Cheeses. What a lovely shop, especially at this time of year.
We had a big English breakfast and have now come home to decorate the tree.

Try not to smash as many baubles as "someone here" did yesterday!

I love that you pick your tree out at a farm...with raindeer looking on...so classic. The town does look lovely...hope your decorating goes well.

Hi Jo,

Lovely pictures. Love the Santa! You put me in a Christmas mood. We usually cut my tree right here in the woods. I have a small one this year. ChurchMouse Cheeses sounds so quaint for a shop. You post the most fun activities all the time. I enjoy reading your posts.

Holiday Hugs!

Nice blog from a lovely area. Know it quite well. Had my honeymoon at strawberry bank, cartmell fell and stayed outside in our motorhome this year. Hows that for romance in an oldun!
