I read about this on Leslie's blog, Flowers of Life. She blogs about an organisation called Chemo Angels.
I recommend you visit this site. What a wonderful idea.
When I had chemo and radiotherapy last year ( urggh!) a good friend of mine ( hello wonderful Sheila) sent me cards ( sometimes every day) and gifts ( lots of them- they were all lovely). It made such a difference and really cheered me up.
I also received cards and gifts from many people, both good friends and those more distant. They made a major impact on me and gave me massive encouragement. I will never throw them out ( and I am not usually a hoarder of cards etc).

Thanks for coming to my site and for mentioning Chemo Angels on yours. I happened upon Chemo Angels on the internet one day and decided that I could do my part to help. My little Mom passed away from cancer at the young age of 58 and so I am trying to help others that have been affected by this horrible disease in any way that I can. I most recently painted a mural in a cancer ward at our state hospital (it's on one of my older posts if you want to take a look at it)as a donation and a way of giving to the cause.
I'm so happy to hear you are a cancer survivor-joy and praise to God for that!

Thank you for sharing this with us. I did not know you went through Chemo yourself...glad to know that the gifts and cards sent did lift your spirits though. Sometimes the smallest of gestures can brighten someones day.
