Cumbria has turned into Narnia . A total white out.
Other half and I are in Derbyshire (at a naff hotel at East Midlands airport worst luck) and got the call today to say teenager and grandma are snowed in, and local schools are shut.
For years teenager has looked forward to a day off from school with his mate, just playing in the snow. Today his dream came true. They built two snowmen, went sledging and had snowball fights. Grandma has supplied a steady supply of warm clothes and warm food.
A good time has been had by all. I hope it has all gone by the time we set off from Derby tomorrow.....
Is this the start of an arctic winter folks?

wow, I haven't talked to my mother for a few days, better give her a call on Friday. By the way all our snow has melted in our area, but less than half an hour up the road, they have lots of snow.

Hi
Don't really know what I'm doing. second attempt. Honeymooned at Cartmel Fell, Strawberry Bank. East Mid Airport is fortunately not typical of Derbyshire.
Love to see your area in winter plus Kirby is marvellous. Motorhoming has its compensations.
