Wii - fit update

It's official- I love the Wii fit and it is definitely toning me up. I love all the balance games especially the heading game. Other half and I are battling it out to be first on the leaderboard on the slalom. I also love the stepping, and the hula hooping ( great for toning the tum and the waist), and I getting into the yoga slowly.
And the best thing- it is inspiring me to go for more walks. Since it has been lovely evening, other half and I went for a brisk walk up and down a couple of small local hills. The fresh spring air and views were just wonderful. We were just in time - the weather cracked up pretty quickly after our return. The weather has been odd- very windy, then loads of rain, and then warm sunshine. Difficult to know what to wear, and the heating is on then off in quick succession.

We spoke to teenager today. It is always a joy to hear his voice. He thinks he has grown over an inch!! He says his exchange is going over all too quickly which is a sure sign he is having a really good time. He is playing Aussie rules football, and basketball and seems to be enjoying school. It is hard to believe he has been in Melbourne for nearly four weeks. And it is four weeks since I have seen him. It is really tough, but I am really happy he is getting a lot out of his visit.

Diet is going well, though I have eased off a little. When I get back from my holidays, I will go on it again strictly. In the meantime, I am enjoying a glass of wine.

Your weather sounds a lot like ours...climate is similar overall, I think. But today, it's sunny & beautiful. We've done yard work and a little sunbathing, after a long walk.
So glad to hear that Teenager is enjoying himself. This is a priceless experience! I hope he is taking lots of pictures.
Yes, for sure, on vacation, you should enjoy yourself! Eat, drink, & you will probably walk a lot while sightseeing. That's my plan: eat, drink and walk it off each day! =)
Your Wii Fit sounds like fun; I've heard a lot of people singing its praises. It must be fun to challenge the Other Half, and motivate yourself & him in the process, too.
Happy Mother's Day!

I love the Wii Fit also. But I really hate it when she says "That's obese!" Give me a break -- I spend 30 minutes on the elliptical every single day. I love the soccer heading, the ski slalom, and the ski jump. I also like the table tilt, but I have yet to master it on the advanced level.

I have heard that wii- is good for keeping fit, so it is great you can take advantage of the modern way to tone up. Good for you, sounds like you are seriously into this and keeping it up. When the original plastic hula hoops were the rage... the early 60's, I used to do that every evening after the children went to bed.
Don't be amazed if your boy shoots up at this age, my youngest suddenly had a growth spurt and gained 4 inches one year, and it was the year his elder brother was away doing his professional dancing, so they didn't see each other for 7 months. Martin couldn't believe his baby brother was now taller that he!
So you and your son might surprise each other, he'll come back to a Mum half her size, and he might suddenly be very tall!

I agree about the weather, but then are we ever really surprised with Britain's changeable weather. Predictably unpredictable!

Me too! I'm undoing what i did at the YMCA today, but, feels good to relax. Sounds like your boy is having the adventure of his life. So grateful to you, he will be.

Well done Jo. I have a Wii Fit but unfortunately the poor thing doesn't get out much - like me!

I can't do that heading game. The boys are in fits when I try. I positively flinch when a bot hits me too. I like the more sedate marble games.

I'm back on the plan, have now lost the 4 pounds I gained from the holiday. I have another 7 pounds to lose and then I'm done.

Teenager will be a different person when he comes home, is there a chance he might tidy up his room without being asked? let me know and I will send Jordan over there!.

Bragger- you are blogging with an advanced table tilter. Come on -you know you can do it.
Tismee- what is the marbles game??

Its the one where you have to tilt the board and get the balls down the holes. It may be the table tilter. Kookarina is the game where you use your remote to control it. I'm way better than anyone else at that! Ha!

Maybe we should have a blogger tournament?
