something to consider

Something to consider

The ' L I T T L E ' Things .

As you might know, the head of a company survived
9/11 because his son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was His turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her
Alarm clock didn't go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike Because of an auto accident.

One of them
Missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take Time to change.

One's
Car wouldn't start.

One couldn't
Get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, Took the various means to get to work But before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot.

He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.

Now when I am
Stuck in traffic ,
Miss an elevator,
Turn back to answer a ringing telephone ...
All the little things that annoy me.
I think to myself,
This is exactly where

God wants me to be
At this very moment..

Next time your morning seems to be
Going wrong ,

The children are slow getting dressed,
You can't seem to find the car keys,
You hit every traffic light,
Don't get mad or frustrated;
It May be just that
God is at work watching over you.

May God continue to bless you
With all those annoying little things
And may you remember their possible purpose.

Pass this on to someone else, if you'd like.
There is NO LUCK attached.
If you delete this, it's okay:
God's Love Is Not Dependent On E-Mail !!
(that's the cool part)

My mum's friend send her this and she sent it to me. I think it's lovely.

Very nice and I believe it 100%-God is always with us and puts us exactly where we are supposed to be. Thanks for sharing that-I had read about some of the folks mentioned but not all.

Much love,
Leslie

Fantastic, I have read this before but it never fails to strike me yet again how our lives are so planned, and to be in a place at a certain time is all pre-planned and not just down to luck. My late husband (who was an athiest) when he knew he had cancer and was dying said to his mind we are all given a deck of cards when we are born and as the cards are dealt that is how our lives will go.
Windermere is a lovely place, I knew it as a child growing up in Southport just 'down the road' from you.

Whenever I get stuck in traffic or am late for an appointment I whisper to myself "I am retired there is no need to hurry". This is a great departure for me as I am usually early for everything and hate being late!

What a lovely bit of writing, and something to make you think with no threatening consequences at the end either = touching.

but
what if i do slow down and then that speeding vehicle has time to catch up and it pulls out and hits me....
and if i'd listened to my first instinct to get going maybe i'd have avoided it.
can you SEE my dilemma???
what to do?
oh bugger it.
waay too deep.
:-))
